The Indian smartphone maker, Karbonn has introduced yet another budget friendly Android smartphone in the country dubbed as Karbonn A15+. It is the successor to company’s previous device, Karbonn A15 which was released last year for Rs. 5,899, running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out-of-the-box. The upgraded version of the phone is launched with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and comes with a better design.

The new entry level Karbonn smartphone, the Karbonn A15 plus comes with a 4 inch WVGA TFT capacitive display with the basic resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It is a dual SIM smartphone with 3G + 2G network support along with dual standby. Processor under the hood is a 1.3 GHz dual-core supported by 512 MB of RAM. The phone comes with 4 GB of decent internal storage which is further expandable up to 32 GB using microSD card slot.

5 MP rear shooter is one of the decent features of this budget smartphone. However, it doesn’t come with a front facing video camera. It offers the usual connectivity features like GPRS, EDGE, 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth with A2DP. The phone is fueled by a decent 1500 mAh battery, but its talk-time capacity is not yet revealed by the company.

The online retailer Saholic.com has started selling the silver color model of the phone for Rs. 5899 and the Black edition is expected to arrive in its inventory soon. It is going to compete against the budget devices from rival brands like iBall Andi 4Di, Spice Stellar Glamor Mi-436 and Gionee Pioneer P2, as these devices offer quite similar features.
