The Lava Xolo A800 runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system and is powered by a dual core 1GHz MediaTek chip.

It is a dual SIM phone and sports a 4.5-inch qHD (960 X 540) IPS display, matching highest resolution of some expensive handsets in the category.

The phone is equipped with 8-megapixel camera, rear illuminated sensor, autofocus and touch focus. The front facing camera is not very good. It's a VGA one and that may be enough for video calling for some.

It comes with 4GB internal memory and 512 MB of RAM. Lava is giving away an 8GB microSD card free with the handset. Apart from all these, the phone has Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, 3G, WiFi, BlueTooth and GPS.

As business head, Sunil Raina stated that the device can compete with some of the best phones in the market in terms of display quality and camera.

About the service support Mr Raina said they have tied up with courier giant FedEX in collecting faulty devices from the residences of users and fast delivery of the same after repairs. Also, there is a call center of the company to take care of all types of software issues in Xolo A 800.
