Lava launches affordable dual cores, IRIS 356 and IRIS 402

Lava is no behind Micromax when it comes to offer great specifications in a low budget. When Micromax Canvas 2 was buzzing the market, Lava silently launched IRIS 501 to compete. Furthermore, the XOLO range of devices also offers Quad core processor powered smart phones at a very affordable range.

Keeping up with the trend, Lava has launched 2 new Android devices in its Iris series, Lava IRIS 356 and Lava IRIS 402. Both of them offer dual core processor, 3G and Android 4.2 for around 5K INR. Though 256MB ram is disappointing, but other features cover up well.

Lava IRIS 356 sports a 3.5 inch, 320 x 480 pixels, capacitive display running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Powered by 1.2 GHz dual core processor and 256 MB ram, the device carries 512MB internal memory which can be expanded further by 32GB. It also packs a 1.3 MP fixed focus camera and VGA front camera for video calling.

Lava Iris 356 is includes 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth as connectivity options. Lava has empowered it with 1500 mAH battery which delivers a talk time of 5 hours and standby time of 200 hours.

Lava IRIS 402 sports a larger 4 inch, 480x800 pixels, screen running Android 4.2 and powered by 1.2 GHz Dual core processor and 256 MB Ram. It has a 3MP fixed focus camera at the back and VGA camera at the front for video calling. Other specifications are similar to Iris 356.

Lava IRIS 356 comes with a price tag of Rs 4449 whereas, Lava IRIS 402 is aptly priced at Rs 5499.
