Wit the end of the second month of the new year, Lava has added two new smartphones, the Iris 454 and the Iris 502 to its product line-up which has already been expanded by the launch of more than 10 phones this year.
The newly launched Lava Iris 454 as well as the Iris 502 offer dual-SIM support. While the Iris 454 is a 4.5-inch smartphone running on Android 4.0 ICS OS, the Iris 502 running on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS boasts a 5-inch display panel.
Lava Iris 454 is powered by a 1GHz Dual-core, Cortex A9 processor accompanied by 512MB of RAM. It boasts a 4.5-inch qHD, IPS capacitive touchscreen display which bears a display resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. It packs an 8MP Autofocus Rear Camera and a VGA front camera. Moving towards the second arrival, the Iris 502 from Lava running on Jelly Bean OS is powered by a 1GHz processor assisted by 512MB of RAM. It houses an internal storage of 4GB which may be expanded externally up to 32GB via Micro SD Card. The Connectivity options includes 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, and Dual-SIM Support. It packs 5MP autofocus rear camera, a VGA front camera and a 2300mAh battery.
Lava Iris 502 has been priced at Rs. 8499 and seems to be rolled out to the market in order to give a stiff competition to the Karbonn A12 smartphone which has a lesser price. However, the company has not yet revealed the pricing details of the Iris 454 but seeing the features we may expect it to face tough rivalry from the Micromax Canvas HD.
