Lava XOLO Q800 First Impression

XOLO has recently showcased the Q800 which is the first quad-core Android smartphone. The device is equipped with a 4.5-inch IPS display with a powerful resolution of 960x640 pixels and runs on 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The other interesting facts about the quad-core CPU is it operate on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box and the admirable graphics is contributed by the PowerVR SGX544 GPU. The XOLO Q800 is rolled out for Rs 12,499.

The smartphone is designed with an 8-megapixel BSI shooter on the rear and a 1.2 megapixel shooter on the front. The camera has the amazing ability to shoot 720p videos that supports modes such as Auto, Normal, Night, Sunset, Party, Portrait, Landscape, Night portrait, Theatre, Beach, Snow, Steady Photo, Fireworks, Sports and Candle Light. The phone is also fitted with a dedicated camera key for efficient and faster access.

The overall features of the XOLO Q800 are, the phone is fitted with 4.5-inch, qHD IPS display with a decent resolution of 960x540 pixels. The other significant features are 3G, EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS support, Bluetooth, 8MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, 4GB internal memory that can expand up to 32GB through microSD cards and MicroUSB support.

The other admirable features of the XOLO Q800 are the fitment of the advanced and high quality YAMAHA 168 PA music system along with proprietary Google apps. The phone is designed to offer worthy battery power of 2100 mAh.

XOLO is geared to introduce a range of phones with quad-core processors in the quarter year and this series will be termed ‘QCORE’. Recently the XOLO was sold by retailers, and the company stated that the phone will be launched through official channels. The phone is designed with a HD display and is built using One Glass Solution (OGS) display technology which is the cause for the neat and slender build of the phone.

The XOLO Q800 has interesting features that would suit business and science professionals as well as photography and nature buffs.
