It is learned that LG will soon be coming up with successor of its Optimus G smartphone. Korean news site MK Business News claims by May 2013 the mobile maker may launch Optimus G2 and it is believed to go toe-to-toe with Galaxy S4 phone of Samsung. More to these, the tech site says Optimus G2 will come up with the 5.0 Key Lime Pie Android update.
Samsung's Galaxy S4 may hit the stores some time in the middle of next year.
LG Optimus G2 will be a 5 incher smartphone powered by a 2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Prime MSM8974 processor and will be equipped with an integrated low powered 4G LTE chip. It's screen will provide full HD 1920 X 1080 display resolution with overall pixel density to be 440 pixels per inch (ppi), higher than what is available in Apple's Retina display iPhone and iPad models.
The phone will come in two variants - 16GB and 32GB on-board storage. However, a 62GB internal storage version is also expected sometime later next year. It will be fueled by a 2100 mAh battery to offer a longer life of 800 cycles, which is claimed to be a good improvement on the existing devices of the company.
According to LG, the Zerogap Touch and True HD IPSPLUS Display from LG Innotek and LG Display will offer the slimmest, sharpest and clearest viewing experience.
