Finally Lenovo and Intel is together in the mobile market with the launch of Android based LePhone K800. The phone was wrapped off yesterday in the Chinese market.
Powered by Intel, the K800 Lenovo smartphone is the second Intel-based smartphone in the global market. It runs on Android 4.0 operating system featuring 1.6 GHz Intel Medifield chip (Atom Z2460), 1 GB of RAM, 400 MHz graphics processor and is paired with Intel XMM 6260 connectivity platform bringing it HSPA+ compatibility.
LePhone K800 is a 4.5-inch IPS tactile screened phone equipped with 16 GB of internal storage, 8 megapixel rear camera and 1.3 megapixel of front camera for video chat.
Currently the phone has been launched with Android Gingerbread OS but soon will be upgraded to Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
LePhone K800 is targeting technological pioneers and business class potential customers aspiring high performance of Intel Inside with advanced imaging capabilities along with a wireless display sharing experience.
Lenovo has priced tagged LePhone K800 at RMB 3299 in the Chinese market which comes about $524.
According to senior vice president of Lenovo Group Chen Xudong, the launch of this first Intel Inside smartphone of Lenovo has milestone significance. The phone represents innovative achievement for the company in the PC+ era.
