“A quick look inside the Lenovo VIBE K5 Plus’ retail box”
It’s all about the bass… no treble. It’s all about the metal… no plastic. Or at least that’s what we’ve been seeing in the Indian smartphone market recently. As metal is becoming the in thing, the construction material is not just a thing of premium smartphones anymore and phonemakers are not refraining from offering metal-clad devices at relatively lower price points. What we have in our labs right now is one such smartphone, the new Lenovo VIBE K5 Plus. The smartphone was unveiled at the MWC earlier this year alongside the VIBE K5. While we’re working our tests on the new VIBE K5 Plus (first impressions) to figure out if the brand has cut any corners to offer this smartphone for Rs 8,499, here’s a look at its box contents.
The Lenovo VIBE K5 Plus ships in a rectangular white and blue packaging that features the phone’s image on the lid. Taking the lid off gives you access to the handset itself, which feels very lightweight at first, since the VIBE K5 Plus arrives with a removable battery. Despite the removable rear panel being crafted out of metal, the VIBE K5 is not exactly a stunning smartphone, but it doesn’t look bad either. The phone rests on top of a screen protector and a thin cardboard tray, which also happens to conceal the documentation.
Beneath the tray you will find a 2,750mAh Li-ion battery, a micro-USB to USB cable, and a two-pin wall charger rated at 1.5A. There's no wired headset provided.
That’s a pack-up for the unpacking of the new Lenovo VIBE K5 Plus. To recap the specs, the phone sports a 5-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 616 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage, and 13MP/5MP cameras. The dual-SIM phone comes with a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion. The VIBE K5 Plus is available exclusively via Flipkart.
Smartphones have become a necessity in today's digital age. Be it browsing the web or connecting with you...
