LG confirms Jelly Bean for Optimus 4X HD and Optimus L7

LG has confirmed a Jelly Bean update for the Optimus 4X HD and the Optimus L7 devices on its official German blog.


While the LG Optimus 4X HD is a high end smartphone device and the Optimus L7 is a mid range device, both phones were launched last year by the company.

The devices will get a taste of the Android 4.1.2 Jellybean operating system very soon, post which, device owners can enjoy UI optimization of the Project Butter and the Google Now feature. Other new features that will also be added include a faster NFC transmission via Android Beam 2.0, Wi-Fi protected setup (WPS), and expandable notifications.

The new update will be rolled out over-the-air by March end. User’s can access the update on LG’s Mobile Support Tool. It is advisable to back up all the user data before updating the operating system.

LG has recently rolled out the Jelly Bean update for the Optimus Vu 2 and Optimus G. The update is also expected to arrive on the Optimus L9 soon.
