The LG G2 Mini will be showcased at MWC 2014 in Barcelona, along with the LG G Pro 2.
In addition to launching the LG G Pro 2, the company has also published a teaser for its upcoming LG G2 Mini flagship. The teaser features an LG G2 along with a smaller, identical phone beside it. The image is accompanied by the tagline, “Experience the MINI, Mobile World Congress. 2014-02-24”, clearly indicating the phone will be showcased at the MWC 2014 along with the LG G Pro 2.
LG hasn't provided any other information about the handset in the teaser. We're not sure how closely the miniature edition's specs will resemble its bigger sibling. According to rumours, the LG G2 Mini might feature a 4.7-inch display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM. It is expected to run Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the box.
The LG G2 Mini will be the first mini-smartphone from LG. Its biggest competitors, Samsung and HTC have already introduced mini-versions of their flagship devices.
