LG launching LTE TDD 4G smart phones in India this year

LG Electronics is going to launch its new range of 4G LTE TDD smart phones in India and worldwide later this year. Company is planning to take advantage of 4G LTE network provided by Network operators like Airtel in Indian market. These smart phones with LTE 4G network capabilities will go on sale in India, Saudi, North America, China, Australia and Japan this year.

Dr. Jong-seok Park CEO of LG Electronics mobile division said company is going to provide flexible data transfer and download with their new 4G capable smart phones. He also added they are going to start commercial production of LTE TDD smartphones to offer better options in the future devices with latest network communication features.

There are two different versions of the LTE services worldwide. However, LG is going to use LTE TDD network because company thinks it will work more efficiently in the global market. This service receives and sends data using single frequency over the time gaps and LTE FDD uses different frequencies for both operations.

LG will launch the LTE TDD version of the Optimus G in Saudi Arabia soon with the telecom operator STC Telco. It will be the first country to get this 4G LTE TDD enabled phone by LG. However, the 4G network in India is currently available in the limited cities. It will take time to expend across the country.
