The LG Optimus L5 II has been launched by the South Korean Tech manufacturers in Brazil. The Optimus L5 II will be available in single and dual SIM models in South and Central America, Europe, Asia, Russia, the Middle East and Africa.

The device was unveiled in February this year along with the LG Optimus L3 II and Optimus L7 II. The L3 II was launched at the Mobile World Congress, 2013, just a few days after its revelation.

Jong-Seok Park, President and CEO, LG Mobile, said, "We believe that the Optimus L5 II will prove to be irresistible to people looking for a feature-rich smartphone that complements their unique and individual styles."

The Optimus L5 II is built with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and has a 4-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 480x800 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1GHz Processor, supported by a PowerVR SGX831 graphic chip with 512MB of RAM.

The device has 4GB internal memory. There is memory expansion of up to 32GB option available via micro SD card. The smartphone has a 5MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. The connectivity options included are 2G, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS with A-GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth, and a micro USB port. The device runs on a 1700mAh battery.

The price and availability details are yet to be revealed by the company. Also, there has been no mention of the device being released in India. However, considering India’s importance as LG’s smartphone market, we may expect the device to hit the Indian shores soon.
