As aforesaid, the new LG Optimus Pad LTE boasts an 8.9 inch IPS True HD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. This slate comes packed with special features and easy-to-use controls like Smart movie editor, On-screen phone for connecting with LG smartphones, Messaging and SNS sharing with search functions. On board, there is a Qualcomm 1.5Ghz dual core processor and the device runs on Android OS v3.2 HoneyComb. Though there is no word about the Android upgrade, this seems to be lucky-kid for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. LG Optimus Pad LTE sports an 8.0 Megapixel shooter on the rear-side and a 2.0 Megapixel camera on the front side. The rear camera can shoot videos at HD and they can be shared to bigger screens via HDMI port and DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance).

Boasting the best-in-class features on board, the device is extremely portable and aesthetically pleasing. This slate comes with dimensions 245 x 151.4 x 9.34 mm and weighs just 497 grams. The new LG Optimus Pad LTE is equipped with a external memory slot which can accommodate a MicroSD card up to 32GB.

LG_Optimus-Pad-LTE“With tablets generating five times more traffic than the average smartphone, it’s not a huge jump to assume that tablet users need and want faster connectivity,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company. “The combination of LG’s LTE technology with the tablet form factor is a clear advantage for consumers who use a tablet as their primary consumption device when on the move.”

LG Optimus Pad LTE will initially be made available in South Korea. Soon, it is expected to hit the Asia and European markets with an unknown price.
