|October 9 2012 |tablet

Kobian Mercury, which has a portfolio of some of the successful tablets in the Indian market, has launched mTab7, another entry level tablet. Specification wise, the tablet has nothing new to offer in comparison to other similarly priced tablets being sold by Indian companies like Micromax, Karbonn, Lava etc. In past, Mercury has always launched its products with a competitive pricing, but this time the price also doesn't seem to be a good selling point.

Key specifications of mTab7:

  • 7-inch, 800x480 pixels, capacitive touchscreen

  • 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor, 512 MB RAM

  • 0.3 Mega Pixel front camera

  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Adobe Flash 11.1

  • Internal memory : 4GB, expandable up to 32GB

  • 2300 mAH battery

The tablet has been prices Rs 6,500 which is more than some other tablets in Indian market with better or similar specifications. For example BSNL Penta T-pad IS701C and Lava eTab with similar specifications are selling for around Rs 4,500 and Rs 5,200 respectively. Whereas SWIPE 3D Life which has a better specification is available for Rs 5,500. Please visit our tablet finder tool to choose and filter a tablet as per your needs.
