Mercury mTAB Star tablet officially launched with 3G and voice calling features

Kobian has introduced a new tablet in India dubbed as Mercury mTAB Star with dual core processor and 3G data connectivity along with voice calling features via a SIM slot. Since there are many other rival brands are offering 7inch tablet devices in India, the latest tablet from Mercury is going to face stiff competition to attract the buyers in the market.

Talking about the specs, Mercury mTAB Star comes with a 7 inch multi-touch screen display with the resolution of 1024 * 600 pixels. It is powered by a 1GHz dual core Cortex A9 processor with MediaTek Chipset and 512MB of RAM memory. According to the official product website, it is running Android 4.1 operating system and its version is listed as Ice Cream Sandwich, but as you all know Android 4.1 is the Jelly Bean version, so it is quite unsure which OS version it is running on.

It comes with 4GB of internal storage that is expendable up to 32GB via microSD card slot. It comes with 2MP rear camera with LED Flash and 0.3MP front facing shooter. Connectivity features of the tablet include 3G connectivity via SIM slot, WiFi, Bluetooth and HDMI output. Company has powered this mid-level Android tablet with a 3000mAh battery.

Price of the tablet is not yet revealed by the company but it is expected to be priced in the entry level Android tablet segment. It will be available to buy in the first week of September 2013 along with 1 Year warranty.
