Micromax Canvas 4 vs Micromax Canvas HD
Design & Build Quality
Micromax A116 Canvas HD comes with a glossy back panel with matte finish but the A210 Canvas 4 looks much better because of aluminum frame around the screen. Both of the devices are built with plastic materials with solid build quality. But, when it comes to stylish body and better looking design, the Micromax Canvas 4 wins over the Canvas HD because of more compact and slimmer design. So, overall the Canvas 4 wins the design & build quality section in this knockout.
Both of the phones come with a 5inch touch screen display with the resolution of 720*1280 pixels but the Canvas 4 seems to provide better colors. Micromax should have launched the latest device with at least 1080 pixels resolution display to get better attention than Canvas HD in the market. Overall, the media viewing experience on Micromax A210 Canvas 4 is slightly better than the Micromax A116 Canvas HD.
Micromax A116 Canvas HD comes with a bit tweaked version of the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system. While, Micromax A210 Canvas 4 comes with the latest 4.2.2 Jelly Bean version of the Android operating system. Canvas 4 also comes with special features like blow to unlock, pinning a video while using other applications on the screen and switching to silent mode by putting the phone face down. These are some special software features that Canvas HD is missing and the Canvas 4 surely has advantage here.
Micromax A210 Canvas 4 and A116 Canvas HD, both of the phone share same hardware features on the processing side. Both of these smartphones come with a 1.2GHz Quad Core MediaTek 6589 CPU along with SGX 544 graphics chipset and 1GB of RAM memory. So, both of the devices provide almost similar processing power while rendering hardware accelerated games. However, Canvas 4 comes with better and higher 16GB of internal space comparing to only 4GB of memory storage in the Canvas HD.
Micromax A210 Canvas 4 is a sure winner in the camera segment as it comes with a massive 13MP rear shooter with LED flash and autofocus options, plus a 5MP camera in the front. While, Micromax A116 Canvas HD comes with only 8MP rear and 2MP front cameras. Canvas 4 provides better quality photos compared to the Canvas HD, and its pretty obvious because of higher mega pixels on the phone.
Micromax A210 Canvas 4 was expected to be the next flagship Android device from the company, but it is not really so different than its predecessor. However, the Canvas 4 comes with better design, slightly better display, a range of cool features & much better camera quality, which makes it the most impressive smartphone from the company.
