Micromax Bolt A61 is the latest device from the homegrown maker with 3G with an affordable price tag.

Micromax Bolt A61 Android smartphone, earlier spotted on company’s official website is now available to buy in India for Rs. 4,889. The phone is a part of company’s bolt-series and can be purchased from online retailer Infibeam for Rs. 4,898 and Micromax e-store for Rs. 4,999. It’s been a few days since company released Micromax Canvas Juice A77 for a price tag of Rs. 7,999. The company has now added yet another budget device in its portfolio for the price conscious buyers.

Micromax Bolt A61 comes with a 4 inch capacitive touch display with the basic resolution of 480*800 pixels. The phone offers only 512 MB of internal storage of which only 135 MB is available to users as the operating system itself has covered quite some space. However, it is further expandable up to 16 GB using an external microSD card. The phone is running on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

Processor under the hood is a 1 GHz Spreadtrum SC7710 supported by 256 MB of RAM. It is a dual SIM smartphone with 3G connectivity, which is probably the best feature in the phone. Other connectivity features of the phone include Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi.

Micromax Bolt A61 is expected to get some competition from other entry level smartphones like Videocon A24 and Spice Smart Flo Mi-423 etc. Videocon A24 could be a better choice if you can go without 3G as it offers better features along with newer version of Android OS.
