The Micromax Canvas Duet 2 will be the second phone in the Canvas series to offer CDMA+GSM network support.
Micromax is all set to launch a new dual SIM Android smartphone in India. Called the Micromax Canvas Duet 2, it will be the second smartphone in the Canvas series to offer CDMA+GSM network support. According to the independent retailer, Mahesh Telecom, the phone will be priced around Rs 15,790 and will go on sale very soon. A few days ago, the Micromaxcanvas.in blog published a photo of the seemingly official retail box, which revealed its specifications.
The phone will reportedly feature a 5.3-inch capacitive IPS display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, paired with 1GB of RAM. For imaging, the mid-range smartphone comes with an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front shooter.
The Canvas Duet 2 runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and offers connectivity features like Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and GPS. There is 4GB of internal storage on board, which is further expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot. The dual-SIM phone is fuelled by a 2,300mAh battery.
The Canvas Duet 2 is expected to launch in partnership with MTS, similar to the Micromax Canvas Blaze, released in December for Rs 10,990 with bundled offers, including 2GB data and 1,000 free calling minutes.
