Micromax launches A30, another Budget Android smartphone

Micromax launched the A30 Smarty 3.0, a new budget Android smartphone. It is the latest edition in the smarty range. This upgrade has 3G portability added and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).


The phone has a 3-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with  240 x 320 pixels 256k colours display. It is powered by a 832 MHz Broadcom Processor  with 256MB RAM. It has an internal memory of 170MB which is expandable via Micro SD card by up to 32gb.

Connectivity options on the phone include 3G, GPS navigation, Bluetooth 3.0 , USB 2.0 and WiFi. The A30 is a dual sim mobile phone. The phone has a 2MP rear camera with built in LED Flash and features 2X digital zoom. The A30 has 1500 mAh battery that gives 6 hours talk time and 180 hours (7 days!) standby.

Some of the entry level applications and features that come preloaded on this phone include Hookup, MiZone, MiStore , Google play store. It also features FM radio and recording facilities. Priced under Rs. 5,000, the Micromax Aro Smarty 3.0 will be one of the low end Android smartphones. It is available in black and white colours.

Micromax is one of India’s leading budget phone manufacturers. This phone will be suitable for students especially who are looking for Android phones but can’t fit it in their pocket money. It can also be used by anyone who is new to smartphone usage and is looking for a simple and uncomplicated Android phone to meet their basic internet requirements.
