Micromax launches Canvas Tab P650 tablet with voice calling support for Rs.16500

The home grown manufacturer, Micromax has launched its first tablet under the Canvas series dubbed as Micromax Canvas Tab P650. Previous Android tablets from the company were released under the Funbook series. It has been priced at Rs. 16,500 and offers flagship features. It features an 8inch display and comes with voice calling features. The tablet will be available in Blue and White color options.

Resolution of the IPS touch screen display of this tablet is not specified at the moment. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad core processor along with 1GB of RAM memory. It is running on the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean operating system version and will be updated with newer versions via Firmware over the Air service. It comes with 16GB of internal storage which is further expendable up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

The Canvas tablet also offers decent camera features with 5MP rear and 2MP front facing shooters for video calling. It is also equipped with SIM slot to offer voice calling features which is being offered in most of the new Android tablet entries in the country. It is powered by a massive 4800mAh battery and connectivity wise it offers WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G options.

Micromax Canvas Tab P650 also comes with video pinning to home screen, smart pause and pop-up browser features. Micromax has also pre-loaded it with Opera Mini, Spuul, M!Live, M! Security and Music Hub applications. According to the press release issued by the company, it is available to buy in the retail stores across the country.
