Here's good news for all Microsoft fans who have been waiting for last few months to get a glimpse of Windows Phone 7.8 OS in their smartphones. The software giant has confirmed today the release of WP7.8 will take place in early 2013.
Earlier, Microsoft was mum about the releasing of the WP7.8. It is widely speculated the update would have been arrived by this time.
Microsoft announced Windows Phone 7.8 earlier this year with promises it will carry some of the features of Windows 8 such as new resizable live tile interface along with ten additional color themes. New lock screen feature will also be seen on the phone with the update apart from PIN/password challenge for preventing accidental wiping away of Exchange accounts and new applications like that of Draw Something and Words With Friends.
Let,s hope we get the best of Windows Phone 8 in the Windows Phone 7.8.
Meanwhile, Windows Phone corporate VP Terry Myerson said, "We know you're eager to get the Windows Phone 7.8 update, and we want you to know that we're working closely with our hardware and carrier partners to get it tested, approved, and rolled out to as many devices as possible in early 2013."
