Microsoft has decided to help you a little bit by launching a unique application naming as HelpBridge.
This App is based on Microsoft’s Windows Azure platform, and enable you to notify your friends and relatives by SMS, email or a message to your Facebook account, which tells that you are fine after the disaster. You can also include your current location too with the notification.
In a Statement, James Rooney, program manager for Microsoft Citizenship’s Technology said, “When disasters occur, the first thing people who were impacted want to do is to reach friends and family.”
During recent disasters in Japan and Haiti, it was seen that how Technology helped in helping people to connect to their loved ones and it helped a lot in relief efforts also. People came to know about the upcoming disaster, which helped them a lot to ensure safety before the disaster hit their places.
This new App has many more features. Microsoft has tied up with many organizations like Aidmatrix, GuideStar, Mobile Giving Foundation, Network for Good and VolunteerMatch which makes easier method for people to help others after disasters.
This Application also helps one to quickly send a message to donate money for the relief works and if you think to make larger donations, you can pay them by PayPal. One can also use this application to donate goods and to find volunteer opportunities for serving your best.
