Please welcome the new player. India based IT firm Mindtree has announced to launch its first Smartphone in US market by the second half of this fiscal year.
The phone will support 3G networks and will run on Google's Android platform. The company is already in talks with a major U.S. network for the upcoming launch. The company plan to launch the handsets later to Europe and Canada, Asia and more specifically India.
The company expects the phone to be priced somewhere around $300. Nice to see an Indian company going international and launching its products in other countries.
