Year 2015 wrapped up with a bang when it comes to the Indian smartphone market. We saw a slew of smartphone launches across price segments. The YU Yutopia finally landed in the market, while Xiaomi launched its second made-in-India smartphone. The entry-level and budget segments also saw a great deal of activity. December being the month of holidays and celebration, you might have missed on all the smartphone fun. So, we've rounded up all the major smartphone launches in December 2015 in this quick slideshow.
Probably one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2015, the YU Yutopia entered the Indian smartphone market last month. The smartphone sports a 5.2-inch QHD display delivering an eye-searing pixel density of 565ppi. Powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, the YU Yutopia is the first smartphone from an Indian brand to sport 4GB of RAM. The phone is available exclusively via Amazon India, and the company has bundled it with Little Bird earphones from the House of Marley.

Launched in the entry-level segment, the XOLO One HD is among the most affordable smartphones to sport an HD display. The 5-incher also boasts a 5MP front-facing camera along with an LED flash, as its key highlights. Being an entry-level offering, the One HD comes powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek processor aided by a gig of RAM. The phone comes in white and is available exclusively via Amazon India.
XOLO launched a new variant of its BLACK smartphone, which belongs to the company's online-only brand that goes by the same name. While the rest of the specs remain same for the new XOLO BLACK, including a 5.5-inch full HD screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit chipset, the RAM has been bumped up to 3GB. The device was launched through a flash sale, exclusively via Snapdeal, but is now available in open sale via the same retailer.
The second smartphone from Xiaomi to be manufactured in India, the Redmi Note Prime was launched as a buffed-up variant of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G. As compared to its predecessor, the Redmi Note Prime features a 64-bit compatible Snapdragon 410 SoC, expandable storage and dual-SIM connectivity. The smartphone can be bought from Amazon.in or Mi.com.

Crafted out of aviation-grade aluminium, the Wickedleak Wammy Note 5, was launched last month, and is the successor to the Wammy Note 4. It gets a bunch of impressive features like a 64-bit MediaTek Helio P10 processor, 4GB of RAM, a fingerprint scanner, and 2.5D curved glass on its 5.5-inch FHD display. While you can register for the phone right now, it will go on sale starting January 15th via the company's official website.
Another entry in the Rs 10,000 segment last month was the TCL Pride. The smartphone's highlight is its Iris retina scanner which allows the user to use their eyes to unlock the device. The 5-inch smartphone also sports a 13MP rear camera with electronic image stabilisation, along with a 8MP front cam. You can get the TCL Pride in slate grey and white through Snapdeal which is the online retail partner for the Chinese company.
Micromax Canvas Pulse 4G was launched as another addition in the sub- Rs 10,000 segment boasting 3GB of RAM. The smartphone gets an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor under its hood and sports a compact 5-inch display. Available in just black, the Micromax Pulse 4G is currently up for grabs exclusively via Flipkart.

After announcing the phone in November 2015, LG launched the Spirit 4G last month with VoLTE and VoWi-Fi. In a market of big-screened devices, the LG Spirit 4G sports a compact 4.7-inch HD display and gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 CPU as its engine. Available via 1,50,000 Reliance stores in the country, the LG Spirit 4G ships in two hues - black and gold.
The InFocus M680 is the latest addition in the brand's portfolio. The smartphone features an all-metal unibody design and a 5.5-inch FHD display. Powered by a MediaTek MT6753 CPU, the InFocus M680 gets a 13MP front-facing camera as one of its key highlights. The phone comes in two colour variants - gold and silver, and is available exclusively via Snapdeal

The HTC Desire 828 was announced alongside the HTC One A9. Later on, the brand launched the device exclusively via Flipkart. The Desire 828 sports a large 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution, and comes powered by a MediaTek MT6753 processor. The smartphone is the first in Desire series to get OIS. The HTC Desire 828 can be grabbed in Dark Grey and Pearl White.
