More Nokia mobiles in work, codenames leaked

|November 11 2013 |Mobiles

Nokia recently launched a range of Lumia devices in Nokia World 2013 event at Abu Dhabi. It was assumed to be the last batch of mobile devices from Nokia before the completion of its announced merger with Microsoft. But now it seems Nokia has some more devices in its bag to showcase before getting completely acquired.

If latest tweet from @evleaks is to be believed, Nokia is working on at least 5 new devices. This famous leaker has tweeted a few names and claims them to be codenames for upcoming Nokia devices. Evleaks has been quite a reliable source of leaks and rumors in past, hence this tip strongly hints of some upcoming devices, probably in Lumia range.

Two of the names, Goldfinger and Moneypenny, are quite recognizable as characters from James Bond movies. Third name, Phantom is of a comic hero. Rests of the codenames leaked are, Normandy and Spinel. As of now, no other information, except of codenames are available for these devices.

Lumia series from Nokia has started gaining popularity and hence, pushing more and more devices through this series could help the company increase its market share in to smartphones segment. This in turn could benefit the ultimate acquirer, Microsoft, as well.

We will keep a close watch on these devices, if they really exist. Stay tuned!
