Motorola XOOM gets Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

Motorola started rolling-out the Android 4.0 OS Ice Cream Sandwich to Motorola XOOM tablet. However, this update is for selected users or it reached the early adopters of the original Android OS 3.0 HoneyComb tablet. This slate is the first one been heavily speculated to get and Android ICS even before the launch of new OS. Now, proving this possible, Motorola update roll-out started to the users.


After Asus Transformer, Motorola XOOM is the second tablet being announced the Android ICS. Motorola XOOM boasts a 10.1 inch TFT Capacitive Touchscreen display with 1280 x 800 px resolution. This tablet powered with 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 AP20H Dual Core processor and 1GB of RAM. The device sports a 5.0 Megapixel camera on the rear-side and 2.0 Megapixel front facing camera for video chatting. The device comes in Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi+3G version with different levels of internal memory. The other connectivity options include Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, EDR, Wi-Fi hotspot, Micro USB 2.0, HDMI ports and A-GPS.
