Mozilla has recently introduced its first two Developer Smartphones designed specially for Firefox Operating System.
Mozilla has designed two of its first innovations running on Firefox OS in the segment of Developer Smartphones partnering with Geeksphone and Telefonica.
The two developer Smartphones announced recently by Mozilla include a low-end model along with a Device closer to the mid-range of Smartphones.
The low-end phone developed by Mozilla has been named as Keon. The Keon is an outstanding developer phones for anyone interested in creating apps for the Platform. The Phone has been powered with a 1GHz single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 Processor along with 512MB RAM. Mozilla has designed the
Keon providing it a 3.5-inch HVGA Display which bears a Resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. The Keon has got a 5MP Camera on its Rear Side. It houses within itself an Internal memory of 4GB which is expandable externally via a Micro SD Card.
The second Developer Smartphone lying close to the mid-ranged Devices has been named as Peak by Mozilla. The Peak sports a 4.3 inch qHD Display which bears a Resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.
Mozilla has powered the Peak with a 1.2GHz Snapdragon S4 Processor along with 512MB of RAM. It features an 8MP camera on its Rear Side along with a 2MP Front Facing Camera for Video Calling. The Peak houses within itself an Internal Memory of 4GB along with the flexibility of External Memory expansion via Micro SD Card.
The two Developer Preview Phones from Mozilla will go on sale in the month of February 2013.
