With every telecom operator trying to attract as many users as possible using different and appealing schemes, MTS too seems to have pulled its socks up to take on the leading telecom operators. Sistema Shyam TeleServices, which operates under the name of MTS, has announced the launch of some new schemes for its voice and data services in Tamil Nadu.

As per the special voice tariff plan of a validity of 30 days, MTS users can now make STD calls at a charge as low as 25 paise per minute. The statement further added that the special benefits will only be valid for the first 250 STD minutes. Thereafter customers’ STD calls will be charged at the rate of 50 paise per minute.

MTS India COO, Aravind Santhanam was spotted quoting that the schemes have been designed in such a way that MTS users can enjoy doing more by comparatively spending less. He further added that apart from benefiting data customers with aggravated usage, customers can now enjoy making trunk calls at 25 paise per minute.

New data schemes too have been announced ranging from Rs.96 to Rs.1,499. Moreover, a couple of more Special Tariff Vouchers (STVs) of Rs.490 and Rs.698 too have been announced.

The press release of special tariffs has brought in a breeze of impatience amongst MTS customers in Tamil Nadu. The press release added that customers can now account the benefits of special tariffs through company’s 18,500 retailers and 83 exclusive outlets.
