MTS Duet 2 Android phone with Dual SIM support launched

MTS has silently released a CDMA Android phone in the country dubbed as MTS Duet 2 with dual SIM support. The newly launched smartphone is the successor to the MTS Duet that was launched earlier this year for Rs. 4,799. Company has upgraded some hardware features in the latest edition of the phone. Price and availability date of the phone is still not announced by MTS.

Features wise, the MTS Duet 2 comes with a 4inch TFT LCD touch screen display with the resolution of 320*480 pixels. It is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 7625A processor along with 256MB of RAM memory. The phone is running the outdated Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system version. It comes with 128MB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB via external microSD card.

Connectivity features of the new MTS smartphone include WiFi, Bluetooth, Micro USB and A-GPS options. It is a dual SIM smartphone with GSM + CDMA network connectivity support. It is powered by a decent 1650mAh battery capable of providing 4 hours of talk time on CDMA network and 250 hours of standby time. It also comes with a 3.2MP CMOS fixed focus camera on the back of the device.

Previous edition of the phone was also running on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system but it was having slightly smaller display. MTS has also improved the battery life and camera features in the latest edition of this phone.
