NEC brings World's Slimmest Smartphone Medias N-04C

NEC Casio Mobile Communication Ltd., also known as NEC Mobiles announced the World's slimmest smartphone NEC N-04C. This Android smartphone beats the slimmest Samsung Galaxy S II by being just 7.7 mm ultra thin. Not only that, the device just weighs 105 grams which is very light when comparing other smartphones.

The device was announced by NEC Casio and is available from NTT Docomo in Japan starting from February 2011. Based on the news from Japan’s biggest business daily The Nikkei, NEC Casio is planning to announce the device in US soon. NEC Casio Mobile, a joint effort of NEC, Casio and Hitachi, was established in 2009.

NEC Medias N-04C, carry a notable highlights which includes a 4-inch Capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The device comes packed with 800Mhz processor and a 5-megapixel CMOS camera. Though it was not clear with the US version, the original smartphone runs on Android OS v2.3 Gingerbread. The device carries the special features like TV tuner, e-Wallet and Infrared. NEC is planning to ship 1.8 million units over the next fiscal year.
