Nokia has announced 107 and 108 basic phones in August and September respectively and now they are available to buy in India. Both of them are great buy for first time buyers as they've all the essential features. Thanks to excellent battery backup, they can also serve as standby devices for people who own smartphones.
Both the 107 and 108 boasts of similar set of features with some minor changes. They have a 1.8 inch TFT screen with the resolution of 160 x 128 pixels (~ 114 ppi). They are loaded with Symbian platform’s Series 30 OS. They both come with dual SIM support with dual standby mode. In terms of storage, they have some space for user data internally which can be extended up to 16 GB with the help of a MicroSD card. They have almost similar weight in the range of 70 g and thickness of approximately 15 mm.
Nokia 107- The 107 promotes its multimedia capabilities. heavily with built-in music player able to play MP3 and Midi files. It also has FM radio. It’s fueled by a battery of 1020 mAh giving it talk time of up to 12 hours during 3G and impressive standby time of around 24 days. It’s available in Red, White and Black colors.
Nokia 108- Apart from the music capabilities of 107, the 108 also has a VGA camera (0.3 MP). It can capture images in 640 x 480 pixels resolution and videos in 320 x 240 format. This can prove handy in some situations. It’s also having Bluetooth 3.0, with Nokia’s slam to share technology which allows one tap sharing of music, pictures and files wirelessly. The device is fueled by a 950 mAh battery, which gives it maximum talk time of 950 Mah and standby time of almost 25 days.
The devices have been spotted on Nokia shop and will surely be available across offline and online stores in the coming days. Nokia 107 is priced at Rs. 1607 after 15% discount on its MRP at Nokia Shop, whereas the 108 will cost Rs. 1883 after 14% discount on its original price at Nokia Shop.
