The Nokia 6700 classic apparently sleek designed classical looking mobile positioned into the mid range phones category. It fits very nicely in the hands of young business people and those looking for a mobile for voice calling and a bit of texting first and other stuff second. The mobile weighs 113 grams which looks little heavier in the line of candybars. It is drawn to the size of 109.8 x 45 x 11.2mm. The 6700c is touted to be the successor of the popular 6300c. It comes with a chrome backplate and the silver shiny metal or a dark black metallic or a matte metallic. The simple design and great features keep your life simple.
The device runs the latest, 6th edition version of the S40 interface. The 6700 classic is quite different from the Nokia 6700 slide, which is based on the higher powered Series 60 operating system. The It has alphanumeric keypad with five way navigation buttons, Micro USB port and the battery charge point in the bottom side, volume control keys, and camera key on the sides. The MicroUSB port can also be used to charge the mobile. The keypad is made up with a single piece of etched metal; this may disappoint the fast texting guys.
Nokia 6700 comes with an Integrated 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus facility. It has an in built memory of 170MB which runs the interface fast and supports up to 8GB. For the quick run the sales pack includes a 1GB memory card. The card slot is placed inside the casing which sounds to be weird while swapping cards. This 3G enabled mobile supports both quad-band GSM and tri-band UMTS networks (plus HSDPA up to 10 Mbps). Unfortunately, there is no front camera for a video calling and that to video camera maxes VGA at 15fps. To the surprise, there is no Wi-Fi connectivity, document viewer. This java supported mobile comes with a pre-installed opera mini browser, supports flash lite 3 for quick and good browsing. The mobile has a GPS in built and a pre-installed Nokia maps.
The other goodies with the mobile are Bluetooth, FM radio, voice recorder, alarm clock, calendar, to do list, notes maker, calculator, countdown timer, stopwatch, and some links to FaceBook, MySpace and YouTube. The battery performance is pretty good even while using with the GPS. The sales pack wrapped with Handset, battery, travel charger, data cable and a 1GB memory card. On the whole it is an attractive gadget to the target audience.
