|September 21 2013 |Mobiles

The first photo of the upcoming budget phone Nokia Asha 500 has surfaced online before the official unveiling. The @evleaks Twitter account, popular for leaking photos of famous gadgets has posted an official looking press photo of the phone but didn’t reveal any other information about the device. However, if you look closely to the photo then you will see WhatsApp on the phone, so it looks like Nokia is going to pre-load the phone with this messaging application.

The leaked image also suggests the phone is made using glossy materials in the back which has been a great successful thing for the earlier launched Nokia Lumia 620 smartphone. The phone is expected to be a slight upgrade to the Nokia Lumia 501. But, it looks like company has done a bit of changes in the design of the phone, which surely makes it look better than its predecessor.

Presence of WhatsApp messaging application in the phone is surely going to be an impressing factor for Nokia among its buyers because they were totally craving for the app to come on this budget device.

If the leaked image is true then there’s nothing stopping Asha phones to grab a high market share with solid build quality, better battery life and all the features packed in affordable pricing. However, ever since Microsoft acquired the Finnish smartphone maker, analysts though company will discontinue the Asha series but it looks like more phones will soon launch in this highly successful mobile series for the company.
