|April 2 2012 |Nokia, Mobile OS, Software update

Here's the just arrived leaked screenshots of upcoming Nokia Carla Operating System (OS).

Nokia Carla OS just leaked screenshots:

Though the screenshots don't reveal much about the OS, but still you can get a bit of taste about what it is going to be.

It is learned the Carla OS is expected for Nokia 700, 701, 603 and 808. Rumors say the Symbian 3 devices may not expect the update that includes Nokia N8, E7, C7 and C6-01.

The screenshot shows an on-screen QWERTY keyboard that seems to us to have been Windows Phone inspired. The unlock button is missing in the lock screen. Instead there is now a swipe for unlocking the phone. The Nokia Browser also shows some UI improvements.

A report by Nokiapoweruser says the Carla OS would have major improvements, Dolby surround, NFC, new improved widgets as well as improved browser i.e. Version 8.

The website that leaked the Nokia Carla screenshots writes, "The most noticeable change comes from the lock screen... user interface of the Music player also sees some improvements."

The Nokia Carla OS update is expected to hit the smartphones by early fourth quarter of this year with a global release.
