Nokia Confirms hotspot Tethering update for Lumia Devices

Nokia confirmed to push the WiFi hotspot tethering update for Nokia Lumia devices. The WiFi hotpot is a convenient way of sharing the network data via WiFi. While tethering is not favoured by most carriers and probably it is not on the top priorities. However consumers will love to have this function and they deeply miss in its absence. According to Nokia Connects FAQ page, Nokia will soon enable the feature via firmware update for Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 smartphones. While the Nokia Lumia 900 and Nokia Lumia 610 is included straight from the launch.

Nokia didn't confirm whether the tethering is via WiFi hotspot or USB cable. Knowing the fact that WiFi hostpot is a massive battery drainer, Nokia might grant for a connection via cable. Therefore, we recommend that Nokia must improve battery performance to deliver a quality of quality of service.
