Finnish communications company, Nokia has officially launched its budget smartphone, Nokia Lumia 505 in Mexico. The smartphone features are similar to Nokia Lumia 510.

Nokia Lumia 505 sports a 3.7 inch display. It runs on Windows 7.8 platform and is powered by a single processor of 800 MHz and 256 MB RAM. It supports Wi-fi connectivity and 3G. Windows 7.8 offers a wider home screen experience and provides more space for Live Tiles.

It has inbuilt memory of 4GB which is not expandable, though Nokia offers a 7GB of free storage on SkyDrive. The smartphone has an 8MP camera at the rear for shutterbugs. One major demerit of the phone is the absence of camera at the front for video calling. It is expected to be launched in Black, Red and Pink colors. It is fueled by a 1300mah battery. For security purposes it has child lock feature in it. Its cinematograph feature enhances photography experience for shutterbugs. Just like Instagram, it also lets you keep the unwanted background parts away from your pic. It has a new application which lets its users create ringtones to suit their moods.

The fact that the internal memory is not expandable and that there is no front camera provided could be due to Nokia’s cost cutting measures in order to provide a budget smartphone for smartphone lovers.

The company has not officially provided information about the pricing of the device. We expect the pricing information to be available once the launch date is confirmed. The smartphone is expected to be launched first in Mexico.
