Nokia Lumia 520 vs. Nokia Lumia 620

Nokia recently launched new smartphones in its Lumia Series which run on latest Microsoft Windows Phone 8 OS.

Nokia Lumia 520 and Nokia Lumia 620 are low priced, mid range Windows 8 smartphones in the series. The Lumia 620 is already available and Lumia 520 will be available soon.


We bring you a hot comparison between the two new devices.


Nokia Lumia 520 sports 4 inch WVGA IPS Super Sensitive Touchscreen, with 800x480 pixels resolution. This touchscreen is so sensitive that you can even work on it with wearing gloves or with your nails.

Nokia Lumia 620 sports 3.8 inch LCD Capacitive Multipoint Touchscreen which produces a 800x480 pixels resolution. It features ClearBlack display technology, which will deliver the ultimate experience of watching Full HD 1080p videos on it.

Nokia Lumia 520 wins with a brilliant IPS display and its sensitivity.


Nokia Lumia 520 is powered by 1GHz Dual-Core Snapdragon S4 Processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. Multi-tasking and playing HD games is an easy task on this smartphone.

Nokia Lumia 620 is also powered by same 1GHz Dual-Core Snapdragon S4 Processor supported with 512MB of RAM.

Both Smartphones grab equal points in this segment.


Nokia Lumia 520 houses a 5MP Autofocus Rear Camera featuring 4x optical and digital zoom. This Camera can record 720p HD videos at a rate of 30fps. It also features Geo-Tagging, Touch focus, White Balance and much more. However, it misses a front camera and LED flash.

Nokia Lumia 620 also houses a 5MP Autofocus Rear Camera but it also carries inbuilt LED flash and a front VGA Camera for video chatting. The Rear Camera can record 720p HD videos.

A front Camera and LED flash makes Lumia 620 win this segment, though both camera have the same rear camera.


Both these smartphones boast 8GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card. Nokia is also offering 7GB of free cloud storage with both the smartphones.


For Connectivity, Both these Smartphones supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, EDR, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS and microUSB 2.0

However, Lumia 620 also supports NFC Connectivity, which makes it a step ahead in this segment.


Nokia Lumia 520 is fuelled by 1,430mAH Battery, which promises up to 14.8 hours of talk time and 360 hours of standby time.

The Lumia 520 offers better battery life.


Both smartphones are powerful devices. The have same processor, RAM, OS and rear camera. However, Lumia 520 has a better and larger touch screen. The Lumia 620 boasts NFC, Front Camera, LED flash and comes in dual tone vibrant colours, which makes it more colourful than Lumia 520. However, the Lumia 520 is priced lesser than Lumia 620.
