Software updates are already here for the just launched Nokia Lumia 920 and the Lumia 820 smartphones. That was fast. These new software updates will add to the features of your Nokia smartphones. Also known as the Portico, the software upgrade is cumbersome free with the end result of tastefully good image quality, improving the functionality of your Windows 8 handsets.
This update his due to be made available in India in a few months from now, perhaps just a couple, following its launch in USA for Lumia 920 and 820 smartphones. There's no confirmation from the Company itself since sources to Nokia have not been given any news in this regard.
When you have such an early upgrade available naturally it perks the ear as so what the problem is. Well, the Portico upgrade is said to undo the problem of image processing in the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 that gave out blurry images taken even in the best of lighting conditions. The upgrade further fixes the problem of battery.
Another thing the upgrade incorporates is a new "always-on" WiFi enabled with options like rejecting calls and sending a template. Along with rectifying errors it brings in features like a new browser for the devices which is designed for smoother browsing. Since these phones are launched in India by Nokia at substantial prices: the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 for Rs 38,999 and Rs 27,559 respectively.
In other news from Nokia, the Company has posted the templates which 3D printer users require to create their own case for its Lumia 820 smartphone. Using this mobe plastic parts can be replaced, by using the rear plate as an inert plastic or as a charging medium. There are three types of templates to create these mobes. Nokia stated that considerations for releasing these files are that “a rich, vibrant ecosystem isn’t just a matter of apps and services; it’s also hardware—physical things that enhance and personalize your experience with your phone.”
