We reported yesterday Nokia has partnered with Vodafone to boost consumer experience on its music store service. Today, the Finish multinational communications and information and technology giant has tied up with Idea Cellular for integrated billing.
Now Idea customer too need not have a credit card or any other financial instrument to renew their Nokia Music service. It can be simply renewed from the pre-paid balance or added to the monthly bill in post-paid connection.
The Nokia Music Store renew for a week costs Rs 50, for 30 days it is Rs 99 and users need to pay Rs 250 to avail the service for 90 days. A range of Nokia Lumia and Nokia Asha smartphones come bundled with unlimited music service subscription from Nokia Music Store ranging from several months to a year. Upon expiry of the free period, customers can opt for renewal with the defined pay.
Nokia India marketing director Viral Oza said, "We are delighted to be working with Idea Cellular, pioneers in espousing the mobile internet, on the Nokia Store and Nokia Music, properties which are leaders in their respective categories in India."
Currently the Nokia Music Store offers more than 120,000 content that include games, videos, apps, productive tools and podcasts.
Currently more than 80 million downloads are done per month in India from the store. A report from Analysys Mason says Nokia Music Store is the largest app store in the country.
The Nokia Music Store is a popular service of the handset maker and is also the largest online repository of legal digital music in the country. It is equipped with more than 4.5 million DRM free songs in sixteen Indian languages.
