Nokia working on a windows tablet?

|December 19 2012 |Tablets

Nokia might be looking to launch its Windows 8 based tablet in the upcoming Mobile World congress event in Barcelona in February 2013. The news comes out from the supply chain vendors in Taiwan. It will be a 10 inch tablet supposedly powered by Qualcomm S4 processor. The tablet will run on Windows RT, an OS developed by Microsoft targeting the tablet segment.

Its not the first time Nokia is trying to jump into the tablet battle field. In the early phases of this year Nokia is reported to have started working on the tablet but pulled back after Microsoft was reported coming up with its own Windows powered Surface tablets. Now when the Windows RT OS has made a market for itself, Nokia is back in the field to give it a try.

Nokia was not the only vendor to pull back from releasing a window based tablet after Microsoft was reported jumping in the market itself. Expect some more companies to come up with Windows based tablets very soon.
