Olive Telecom has now forayed into the online retail space by launching an e-commerce website. The website, http://shop.olive.net, will help Indians to directly buy Olive products through the site. “With this Olive telecom becomes the first Indian mobile handset manufacturer to offer its products directly to the end users,” the company commented. “The site represents a significant amount of research, analysis, and design undertaken to build this user friendly web portal.”

All Olive gadgets comprising netbooks, mobile handsets and Olive Pad can now be purchased online through this website. Further, consumers will be able to avail discounted offers off the ecommerce site.

With the festive season just around the corner, this initiative is all set to create a rage in the electronics marketplace. Customers can place their orders not only through the online portal, but also through dedicated phone lines, which is powered by a specialized call centre network, Olive Telecom stated.

Launching the new website, Arun Khanna, chairman, Olive Telecom, said, “There is a huge untapped market in the online space. With increasing penetration and steady growth of active users both in metros and tier II and III cities, this presents a huge opportunity for Olive Telecom to reach its consumers. With the convergence of technology & larger reach of web, this web portal is specially designed to reach all its consumers. Our aim is to be a one-stop shop for our entire product range. We will be extending this feature to cover all our international markets too.”
