Polaroid has introduced yet another kids friendly Android tablet in the United States. Dubbed as Polaroid Kids Tablet 2, it comes with pre-loaded content from company’s new partners, Disney, Cartoon Network and Marvel. Priced at $149, the tablet also comes with over 70 popular books and applications. Currently, it is only available to buy in United States at Toys “R” Us outlets, but it is expected to launch globally pretty soon.

Features wise, this kids friendly tablet offers a 7 inch touch display with the resolution of 1024x600 pixels. It has 8 GB of internal storage and the processor under the hood is 1.6 GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 supported by 1 GB of RAM. The operating system is Android 4.2 and the tablet comes with WiFi connectivity. An SD card slot has also been integrated in the tablet to enhance the memory and it is also equipped with a front mounted speaker.

“Children will now have the opportunity to experience an award winning device similar in specs to their parents’ tablets, but designed specifically to their needs and pre-loaded with content they want from our new partners, Disney, Marvel and Cartoon Network.” said Polaroid CEO, Scott Hardy at the launch of new tablet.

Polaroid has also loaded the tablet with side and rear bumpers to protect it from the accidental falls. The built-in parental controls and safe web browser will allow the parents to control the reach of their kids to specific content.

Earlier this year at Consumer Electronic Show, the company released its first kids tablet with rather low-end specifications comparing to the second-gen Polaroid Kids Tablet 2.
