Reliance Communication (RCom) and search giant Google have announced of an exclusive tie-up to benefit the Indian Android consumers. Under their partnership, customers will be getting 1GB of data absolutely free for one month on purchase of Google approved Android device.

To make things easy, Reliance has put up the list of Google approved Android devices on its RCom.co.in website. The offer is valid for customers who apply for the benefit between April 15 and June 15, 2012.

Sanjay Behl, RCom's group head, brand and marketing, told to a national newspaper that the company is creating a dedicated help desk for automatic mapping of android phones which are purchased by customers under the free data agreement.

Brief explanation how the offer works:

Once a customer has either purchased or upgraded the number to Google approved 3G Android smartphone, he or she need to make a first voice call. Within 72 hours of the voice call, RCom will then provide the offer through OTAF - Over-the-air-functionality and the customer will receive confirmation through SMS.

In case if a customer fails to receive the free data offer then he or she need to phone call customer care of RCom. The TAC Code, which is the first 8 digits of the IMEI number, has to be given to the call center executive and then RCom will credit the offer.

There is no other ways mentioned yet even if this won’t work offering free 1GB data on your 3G Android smartphone. However, do comment below if you face any other problem related to the offer.
