RCom To Offer Unlimited Mobile Internet @ Rs 99/month

|June 16 2010 |Industry News

India's leading telecom operator Reliance Communications said that it would offer unlimited internet access to subscribers through their mobile phones at Rs 99 per month, according to media reports. This would in any case help the company to boost its third-generation (3G) services in the country.                     AnilAmbani
Reliance Communications has recently won 3G licences for 13 cities, including Delhi and Mumbai -- the biggest and most competitive market in India. The Anil Ambani-controlled Reliance Communications is also looking for ways to cut down its debts, after buying 3G licences at a price more than expected.
Therefore, the company has announced its plans to sell 26 percent stake in itself to a private equity buyer that would allow RCom to clear its debts and enhance networks. The stake sale has also received the board's approval.
