Reliance joins the bandwagon; provides Free incoming on national roaming

|July 9 2013 |Mobile Operators

Soon after Tata Docomo, Idea, Airtel and Vodafone, Reliance Communications also launched a new tariff plan which has made incoming calls on national roaming free of cost.

TRAI had instructed last month to telecom operators to provide at least one roaming friendly plan both in prepaid and postpaid service. Since then, we have seen almost all operators coming up with attractive roaming plans which offer goodies like reduced tariffs, free incoming calls and SMSes in lieu of a fixed charge.

Reliance Roaming Plan

Reliance-LogoReliance is offering its roaming plan for Rs 194 at a tariff validity of 180 days from the date of recharge. Local, STD and outgoing call charges in roaming  will be charged at  1.5p/sec while the incoming goes free. Furthermore, users will be charged Rs 1 for Local SMS, Rs 1.5 for National and Rs 5 for international SMS.

This roaming plan from Reliance is suitable for people going on roaming for a longer period. Other operators like Airtel and Vodafone have also introduced Roaming plans on per day basis. We are yet to hear anything of that kind from Reliance.
