Reliance to offer dedicated 3G data plans to Apple iPad

Reliance Communications also known as RCOM is reportedly preparing dedicated 3G data plans to the magical tablet Apple iPad 2. Reliance will be selling a Micro-SIM for iPad and this service will be offered without contract-based plans or activation charges.

apple-ipad-2-3gReliance is the first mover among the private network operators. Till now, iPad owners have no choice, except to opt for state owned operators for 3G plans. BSNL is offering 3G data plans starting from Rs.99 for a day (unlimited) to Rs.599 (up to 6 GB) per month. Therefore, Reliance is planning for a better plans ranging from Rs.203 to Rs.1100 per month. Customers can experience the 3G data speed up to 7.2 Mbps at 3G circles and 2G GPRS/EDGE speeds at the non-3G circles in India. So, users can enjoy the data and free usage at Home and Roam networks.
