RIM had announced the launch of the Blackberry 10 in January, 2013. However, the company has launched another smartphone on its BlackBerry 7.1 OS, the Blackberry Curve 9315 ahead of its OS 10 offering.
The BlackBerry Curve 9315 runs on BlackBerry 7.1 OS and features a 3.2 MP camera, microSD memory card expansion and a full, physical QWERTY keyboard. The device supports 3G connectivity as well as built-in FM Radio.
BB Curve 9315 has a screen size of 2.44 inches and a screen resolution of 320 x 240 Pixels. it is a conventional Blackberry Qwerty pad phone. The BlackBerry OS 7.1 operating system runs on Single core, 800 MHz processor, internal memory 512MB RAM, 3.2 MP, 2048 x 1536 Pixels 4x Digital Zoom with LED Flash camera and video capacity for MP4, H.263, H.264, WMV, expandable memory upto 32 GB with microSD slot.
Besides the phone has connectivity features such as 2.0 USB port, 3.5 mm audio jack, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, AVRCP, PBAP, DUN, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPRS, EDGE, 2G, 3G, GPS.

Its other special features include apps such as the Accelerometer, Proximity, Compass Sensors, Organizer, Document Viewer, Voice Memo & Dial, Predictive Text Input, BlackBerry Travel, BlackBerry App World, Twitter, Facebook, BlackBerry Messenger.
The BlackBerry Curve 9315 will be launched on January 23 in the U.S. It is expected to hit the Indian markets by mid 2013.
