Rumor: Sony to unveil a 5-inch 1080p quad-core smartphone at CES

Rumours suggest that Sony will be presenting a new smartphone in CES2013 event that is going to be held in Las Vegas in January 2013. The device is codenamed XPeria Z L36h. Rumours suggest that this might be the official version of the much talked about Sony Yuga. The images of this much awaited smartphone have also been released in the recent past through several leaks.


Sony XPeria Z L36h sports a 5 inch screen. The device has a resolution of 1080p. It will have rich display that will provide an enhanced HD viewing experience. The smartphone will run on Android OS powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor.

It is expected to face stiff competition from Samsung Galaxy Note Series, HTC and Nexus 4. The smartphone will have a 13.0MP rear camera for shutterbugs and will also have a microSD slot.
The device is expected to be officially launched in the later half of 2013.
