Samsung Announces Termination of Support for Symbian

|October 3 2010 |Samsung

Believe it or not, that’s the Android effect. And like the cream on pie, Microsoft is also preparing for a huge comeback within a week or so with Windows Mobile 7.

Samsung, in a latest announcement has clearly stated that it will remove all its support and related processes including support forums, developer's site and all Symbian-related documentation from its servers from Dec 31, 2010.

Sounds like Samsung wants to remove all the prints of Symbian. The approach is really too aggressive.

The termination will start from Oct 29 with the close of its developer section on the Samsung Mobile Innovator website. Then on Dec 30 and 31, all the forums and data will be erased.

So either you are a developer who still have to submit apps, resolve issues or you are a user looking for some document downloads, we advice you to hurry up.

Bad news for Symbian and its fans!
