Samsung estimated to ship 63.7 Million Smartphones in Q4 of 2012

Following the revenue reports registered by Apple, IDC now has released its analysis reports for the revenues this Quarter. Samsung does not provide any Quarterly sales Figures but we already know that the South Korean Tech Giant is the Market leader.

Now, IDC has estimated that Samsung has shipped 63.7 Million units of Smartphones during the Fourth Quarter of the year 2012.

IDC has estimated that 29 percent of the total Market Share of 219.4 Million units for the Q4 of 2012 has been grabbed by Samsung. According to the reports presented by IDC Samsung has sold around 63.7 Million units of Smartphones during the period of three months at the end of the year 2012.

Quite Impressively Samsung has hit 215.8 Million units for its annual sales reports which shows an increase of 129 percent as compared to the Annual sales figures registered by the Company for the year 2011.

According to IDC the Smartphones have accounted for 45.5 percent of sales of all the devices from Company which is again a record to be registered.

Unsurprisingly Apple stood on the second position of the list with a Sales figure of 47.8 Million units of iPhones during the fourth quarter of 2012. Apple has grabbed around 21.8 percent of market share in the Q4 while its Annual Sales figures have hit 136.8 Million units.

The rapidly growing Smartphone Market though dominated by Samsung and Apple, offers plenty of opportunities for the growing Tech Companies. The vendors offering Unique Market Advantages may get a great response from the Industry in the coming time.
